Tostones (from de Spanish verb "tostar" wich means "to toast") or patacones are a popular side dish in many Latin American countries. The dish is made from sliced green (unripe) plantains and served as a sandwich with thin, fried plantains subbing for a bread. It's stuffed with all kind of ingredients, lettuce and sauce.
